Earth Day - April 22, 2010
What will YOU do to celebrate?

[Best Nutrition] [Safe Cleaning] [Green Resources] [Green Job Opportunity]

There is one day we set aside to Celebrate our Global Home - MOTHER EARTH. We call it Earth Day and the celebration is on April 22nd.
  • This is a day to show how much you care about the earth.

  • To take a stand for protecting the beautiful home we share.

  • To do something that inspires others.

So, what can you do to celebrate Earth Day? What can we do together?

We've got some ideas for you and we want to hear your ideas, too!

The First Official Earth Day Product
Shaklee's Basic H, the first biodegradable product on the market created over 50 years ago. Before people even knew why biodegradable was important!

The Shaklee Corporation has been an environmental leader for over 50 years.
Shaklee was the first Corporation in the World to receive Climate Neutral Status by The Climate Neutral Network.

Basic H is now called Basic H2 - the same highly effective product, totally plant-based and completely safe for your family. Basic H2 breaks down completely in days (not years!). Now twice as concentrated. You add the water for less shipping emissions, less plastic waste and less money spent from your budget.

See all the wonderful, eco-friendly, concentrated
Shaklee Get Clean products
and be an environmental leader in your own home! You will love the SAFE, HEALTHY, FRESH, ECONOMICAL CLEAN - and it's all guaranteed.

Goodwill Too is going Green!

Volunteer to Help in Your Area!

There is probably a local volunteer activity or two in your area. If not, why don't you start one? You could clean a stream, lake, roadside, park, habitat and many other volunteers will be glad to join you!

Recycle, Reuse, Rethink, Reduce and Repair!

  • Hey Kids! Download Recycling Kits from Plant Pals!
  • Make a homemade sign letting your neighbors know that it's Earth Day! Attach it to your mailbox, front door or front fence.

  • Eat earth-friendly foods for Earth Day! Try a meal featuring local, organic foods. Buying local is good for the earth! Buying organic keeps chemicals out of the environment. What foods are available and in season in your neck of the woods?

  • Ideas for going green at home!

  • Get rid of the chemicals you use to clean your home! These chemicals are harmful for you and the planet! Get Clean for the health of your family and the earth!

  • No Child Left Inside! Plant a Tree or Enjoy a Nature Break. Planting trees is an effective way to reduce greenhouse gases. Trees absorbcarbon dioxide and create oxygen for us to breath. On Earth Day,enjoy a park or fly a kite! Play outside.

  • Plant a Garden! You can grow herbs and vegies in big or small spaces. Use an old pot to start some basil or buy seeds and plan your summer garden. Spring is the time to start thinking about growing some of your own food!

  • Visit the library. Check out a book and return it when you have finished! That's a great green activity!

  • Stop Idling! If you idle in your car for more than a few seconds, you are not saving gas and you are adding to air pollution. Try parking and walking a few steps to your destination.

  • Enjoy the earth and the natural settings around you!
