Use Your Passion to Create Your Financial Future !Who am I? My name is Jan Ewen. I am the editor and creator of Healthy-kids-go-green.com. I am a WAHM with many outside interests. I am a person who is passionate about good health for my family and for others. My husband, Bruce, and I are the parents of three wonderful children. And, of course, we care about our children's future as all parents do.
I think it's my children who have really inspired me. All kids are drawn to nature and the outdoors. Mine love to swim and comb beaches. They love to walk through forests and climb mountains. I want that freshness and beauty to always be a part of their lives as it was mine as I was growing up.
As an adult, I have been faced with health issues which have been the result of environmental factors. I had never really thought about environmental health risks until I developed asthma as an adult. What made this particularly significant to me was that I have been a professional singer for over 30 years. Asthma and singing are not compatible. It has been very challenging to stay healthy and keep singing.
I began looking at my surroundings in a new way. I looked at the products I used to clean my house, the building materials in my home and the theater I worked in, even the products I used in the garden and for my family's personal care. I began to make some changes. I started using environmentally safe products and I love them! I got rid of hazardous household chemicals and cleaned up the atmosphere.
About the same time, I was looking for a way to make additional income. (Aren't we always?) Ideally, I wanted to do something for which I had a passion. But it seemed a little late to be starting a whole new career.
I am the Artistic Director at a local theater. I love working with kids and adults. I love teaching, being creative and helping people reach their goals and fulfill their dreams. But I need more financial security for my family's future. Long story short - I was led to the idea of sharing my passion through a website and an online business. I knew NOTHING about developing a website. But through my research, I discovered SBI! Short for Site Build It!
